John Kang is an investor in startups and established companies with over 30 years’ worth of experience. His expertise is in technology, manufacturing, and distribution businesses. He was the president of Medical Manager Corporation from 1994 to 2001. Under his leadership, the company became the largest physician-based information technology company in the U.S. with more than 190,000 physician users.  WebMD acquired the company in 2000.

From 2001 until 2010, John Kang researched and developed means to commercialize amorphous alloys. During his tenure with the Liquidmetals Technologies, Inc. as an early investor and chairman, he entered into license agreements with Apple Inc., The Swatch Group Ltd., HEAD, and Rawlings, and established development programs with Richemont, J&J, Engel, and others.

At present, John Kang is the chairman of LM Group Holdings Inc. The company has established a strategic alliance aimed at bringing an innovative technology used for plastics and composites for the manufacturing of amorphous metals. Under his guidance, the business has established a joint venture in amorphous metal die-casting in China.
